Rowena Cox
Marketing and Business Development
Rowena Cox has many years experience in administration, sales and marketing, particularly in the hospitality, leisure and tourism sectors. The early part of her career was spent with Watneys and Guinness, moving on to Best Western Hotels following which she helped to establish Quality International in the U.K. Rowena gained additional experience working for the Parliamentary Advisor to Chevron Oil and a prominent design consultancy. During a career break to bring up her family, Rowena moved into sales, helped to set up a health and safety consultancy and enjoyed a very successful period in estate agency before joining James at Rural Development Associates in 2004.
Rowena is very interested in alternative therapies and is qualified as a practitioner in stress counselling, Reiki and Indian Head Massage. She is a graduate of the Cordon Bleu school (part-time) and is qualified to LAMDA Gold Med. standard and much enjoyed teaching speech and drama to children earlier in her career.
Loves: Her teenage children (sometimes!), dog (always!), a good view, a turbulent sea, books and the performing arts.
Hates: Queueing for anything (life's too short), badly run committees (life's too short), poor food and service, mediocrity.
